Public Engagement & Communications Program Director
HNTB is hiring a program director for Public Engagement & Communications to lead strategy, outreach, and stakeholder alignment for landmark transportation and infrastructure programs. This senior leadership role has direct impact on how communities connect with projects that matter.
What Youll Do
- Establish goals and objectives for public engagement and communications programs, providing strategic support, guidance and recommendations to develop and implement comprehensive communication strategies and programs that advance client goals and build stakeholder support.
- Present proposals and strategies to clients to help win work in conjunction with other project leadership, delivering quality work on time, on budget and to client satisfaction.
- Identify potential audiences and involve new individuals and groups as engagement expands.
- Direct development and approval of overall program messaging, implementation strategies, collateral materials and all supplemental communications materials.
- Ensure team adherence to compliance with state and federal regulations and client?specific requests.
- Manage public engagement and communications employees in developing and administering public involvement, communications and outreach programs.
- Oversee support staff efforts to implement events, print and graphic materials, and program messaging as scoped.
- Recruit, hire, mentor, develop and retain staff, including planning for reporting, performance reviews, compensation, and succession planning.
- Contract with and manage sub?consultants for public / community relations, graphic design and other outside work when needed.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
