Position Profile
Weaver is looking to add an Audit Senior Manager or Director to join our growing Public Sector Audit team. As an Audit Senior Manager or Director at Weaver, you will play a pivotal role in growing the Public Sector practice in the California market and continue to deliver exceptional service to our clients across all stages of the audit process. An Audit Senior Manager or Director also fosters the professional growth and development of Associates, Senior Associates, Supervisors, and Managers on the team through mentorship and training. To be successful in this role, the following qualifications are required :
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field
- Active CPA license
- 8+ years of public accounting experience or its equivalent
- Experience leading audit planning, fieldwork, and reporting processes, ensuring compliance with GAAP, GASB, GAGAS (Yellow Book), and Uniform Guidance
- Experience working with public sector clients including state and local governments, nonprofit organizations, and / or higher education
- Possess technical knowledge sufficient to supervise Associates, Senior Associates, Supervisors, and Managers
- Strong relationship management and practice development skills
- Ability to attract and service new clients and expand services to existing clients
- Proven ability to manage, mentor and develop staff
- Demonstrates independent thinking and strong decision-making skills
- Team orientation and strong people skills
Compensation and Benefits : At Weaver, our most valuable resources is our people. We take the time to evaluate our employees' wants and needs and invest our resources accordingly. A reasonable estimate of the compensation range for this position is $180,000 to $240,000. Actual compensation will be based on a variety of factors including but not limited to experience, skills, certifications, and geographical location. In addition to compensation packages, Weaver offers competitive health benefits, such as medical, dental, vision, disability, life insurance, and a 401(k) plan.
