We’re looking for a Purchasing Assistant to join a supply company in downtown Birmingham.
Job Details :
Pay : $18.00 per hour (Temp-to-Hire)
Schedule : Monday–Friday, 8 : 00 AM – 5 : 00 PM (with some flexibility)
Job Summary :
This role involves negotiating pricing and delivery for key commodities to support ongoing operations. Responsibilities also include preparing, analyzing, and reviewing sourcing decisions to assist in short-term strategy development.

Work Experience
Required Skills :
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in supply chain
- Strong negotiation skills
- Self-motivated with the ability to meet daily job requirements on time
- High attention to detail
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and strong computer skills
- General business knowledge with purchasing experience
- Ability to thrive in a dynamic and sometimes high-pressure environment
- Excellent oral, written, and presentation communication skills
- Bilingual (Spanish / English) preferred
- Strong organizational skills
