Job Type : Full-Time Consultant (6-Month Assignment)

Schedule : Monday–Friday | First Shift, 8 : 00 AM–3 : 00 PM

Pay Rate : 54.56 per hour

PDS Tech Commercial is partnering with a leader in the aerospace industry to bring on a seasoned Purchasing / Procurement Associate . This role is critical to ensuring material availability, supplier performance, and cost-effective procurement across complex aerospace programs.

If you’re a motivated, detail-driven procurement professional with strong judgment, a solid work ethic, and the ability to work autonomously in a fast-paced environment, this role puts you at the center of high-impact supply chain decisions.

What You’ll Do

In this role, you will independently manage procurement activities while supporting program buyers and aerospace programs. Your day-to-day responsibilities will include :

Executing procurement processes, standards, and operational plans

Preparing and managing RFPs, bid packages, and negotiation strategies

Issuing purchase orders, approving payments, and negotiating terms and pricing

Compiling price proposals, cost analyses, and financial reports to support sourcing decisions

Monitoring supplier and contract performance to ensure compliance

Communicating with suppliers to schedule or expedite deliveries and resolve shortages or delays

Responding to internal customer inquiries regarding order status, changes, or cancellations

Supporting procurement across a wide range of commodities, including machined parts, sheet metal, vacuum-formed parts, hardware, and electrical components

Using Microsoft Excel daily for pivot tables, lookups (including XLOOKUP), sorting, and filtering

Working autonomously with limited supervision while influencing stakeholders through facts, policies, and best practices

Required Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree required

Minimum of 7+ years of relevant Supply Chain experience

Direct Purchasing and Procurement experience (planners not required)

Strong motivation, sound judgment, and proven work ethic

Ability to manage complex problems independently

This position requires use of information or access to facilities subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and / or Export Administration Regulations (EAR). These regulations may limit access of controlled technologies : 1) to U.S. Persons, including U.S. Citizens, lawful permanent residents, and other narrow categories including refugees and asylees, or 2) to certain foreign nationals that have received an export license.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience working in an aerospace or manufacturing environment

SAP ERP experience (preferred, not a dealbreaker)

Background working with CI Business and MPI environments

Experience managing projects and part purchasing activities

Some program management exposure

Pay Details : 54.56 per hour
