Equix Energy Services is an energy and utilities contractor that provides high quality pipeline and facility construction services. Our team is built on pride in the workmanship and abilities of our crews. Our core group of in-house welders have extensive knowledge and background in pipeline and fabrication welding. We have a current opening for a Purchasing Agent. At Equix, we support our customers and stakeholders and constantly strive to exceed expectations with all our services, including pipeline construction, gas distribution, horizontal directional drilling, facility construction and fabrication, and trenching services.
General Purpose of this Position :
The Purchasing Agent is responsible for planning, coordinating, and directing effective maintenance and repair programs of all equipment, equipment safety, and equipment availability. This individual will act as a technical advisor on all equipment issues and also help assist the management team.
Responsibilities :
- Gives direction to shop technicians on priority of what needs to be repaired
- Monitors work orders in Fleetio
- Helps with coordinating third party repairs when needed
- Assigns loads to EES over the road truck drivers
- Purchases materials and tooling for jobs
- Allocates equipment for current or upcoming work
- Takes care of licensing and registering all plated vehicles
- Monitors DOT compliance on rolling stock
- Manages the warehouse and inventory
