Vaco Phoenix is looking for an experienced Purchasing Manager for a top HVAC client in Phoenix AZ! This Purchasing Manager will be solely in charge of purchasing, creating all processes and procedures for the purchasing department. This role involves vendor management, contract negotiations, inventory control, and collaboration with other departments to support the company’s growth and operational goals. This is a permanent position that is fully onsite and paying up to $90k / yr.

Key Responsibilities :

• Develop and implement purchasing strategies to maintain optimal inventory levels.

Evaluate and select suppliers based on quality, price, and delivery performance.

Negotiate contracts and agreements to secure advantageous terms.

Monitor supplier performance and resolve issues related to quality, delivery, and cost.

Analyze market trends to forecast future purchasing needs.

Coordinate with the sales and operations teams to ensure alignment of purchasing activities with business objectives.

Prepare and manage the purchasing department’s budget.

Qualifications :

Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, or a related field preferred.

3-5 years of experience in a purchasing role, preferably in the HVAC industry.

Strong negotiation and vendor management skills.

Proficiency in inventory management software and MS Office Suite.

Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
