We have an opening at our Yale office. The role of Medical Director requires a licensed Medical Provider in Oklahoma with a current DEA number in good standing (with preferred history of training and experience in psychiatry or prescribing psychiatric medications). A minimum of four (4) years of direct supervisory / administrative experience in healthcare settings. Demonstrated commitment to providing services to medically underserved populations. Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing.
Starting annual salary for Medical Director is $260,000

Counseling & Recovery Services of Oklahoma provides mental health and substance abuse treatment, physical health care management and wellness services for over 5,000 children and adults annually. We are Oklahoma's only community mental health center certified in the Sanctuary model of care. Using this model, the agency provides trauma-informed care helping to create an environment of safety, identify and manage emotions, process loss and help clients create a future of growth and change. Due to tremendous growth, we are hiring a Medical Director at our Yale location. General Expectations :
Under the direction of the Clinical Director, the Medical Director will provide consultation and support of all aspects of medical (typically medication management) care services provided by CRS. Using principles / practices of the Sanctuary Model, Medical Director help to monitor clinic performance to ensure medical services / operations are in compliance with all applicable regulatory and licensing agencies. The Medical Director provide consultation and support to insure implementation, review and development of clinical protocols, performance objectives, productivity benchmarks, compliance measures, provider workflow planning and provider scheduling in collaboration with the Clinical Director. Medical Director acts as a resource to the agency as a whole providing guidance in best practices, troubleshooting of medical services and operations issues in priority of urgency and according to agency policy. The Medical Director will provide clinical and medical opinions to the Clinical Director, Executive Director and Board of Directors as requested. As a licensed physician, the Medical Director will also provide direct client services according to needs of the agency and consistent with standards of practice and established productivity expectations. As experience in using and navigating electronic medical records.
Example of Position Responsibilities :
Other Duties : Perform other duties as assigned by the Clinical Director.
Physical Requirements : Must be able to move from location to location, bending, stooping, lifting 25 pounds, communicate clearly, prepare written communications, present information to other employees, process complex information within established procedures / programs, enter data to various programs. Must be able to climb stairs and access non-handicapped equipped residences / facilities.
