The Contractor ConsultantsAlbuquerque, NM, USJoin Our Team as a Purchasing Operations Manager at Frank's Supply Company, Inc.!Job Title : Purchasing / Inventory Control ManagerCompany Name : Frank's Supply Company, Inc.Salary : $75,000 - $100,000 depending on experienceFull Job DescriptionThe Purchasing and Inventory Control Manager leads high-volume purchasing and inventory control across five locations (Farmington, El Paso, Hobbs, Los Alamos, and Albuquerque), managing a team of buyers in an environment handling up to 50,000 SKUs. This role ensures optimal stock levels, strategic supplier relationships, and pricing accuracy to meet business needs efficiently and cost-effectively.Objective : The Purchasing / Inventory Control Manager oversees purchasing, pricing, and warehousing activities at all 5 locations (Farmington, El Paso, Hobbs, Los Alamos and Albuquerque).Responsibilities include but are not limited to : -Oversee and direct high-volume purchasing operations, managing diverse product lines, office supplies, and warehouse equipment across all locations.-Build and maintain strong supplier relationships; negotiate terms, optimize pricing structures, and oversee pricing updates.-Lead inventory control processes, including stock level monitoring, warehouse transfers, and stock evaluations to ensure alignment with demand across multiple sites.-Supervise and develop purchasing and warehouse staff, ensuring accurate stock receipt, shipment verification, and inter-departmental coordination for optimal inventory flow.-Manage vendor shipments, resolve surplus inventory issues, and process returns and warranties, coordinating closely with sales, accounting, and technical support.-Review and process purchase orders, maintain inventory systems, and implement pricing adjustments as required.-Conduct regular physical inventories, cycle counts, and stock assessments to ensure accurate inventory records and adequate product availability across locations.-Develop and train staff, staying informed on industry trends and conducting regular team workshops and training.The ideal candidate should possess : -Extensive experience in high-volume purchasing, ideally with familiarity in managing large inventories of up to 50,000 SKUs.-Proven leadership in managing and developing teams in a fast-paced purchasing environment.-Strong negotiation skills and a robust understanding of inventory control and procurement best practices.-Experience with tools such as Milwaukee, Klein Tools, and Lenox, plus proficiency in inventory management software.-Excellent problem-solving, verbal communication, and interpersonal skills.-Basic MSDS and safety procedure knowledge; ability to handle packages up to 50 lbs and work across diverse locations.Working Conditions and Physical Requirements : -Noisy environment, requiring focus and attention to detail.-Ability to work overtime with short notice when needed.-Regularly lift packages up to 50 pounds and climb stairs.-Consistent use of office equipment including computers, fax machines, copiers, and calculators.Benefits : -Health Insurance Options-Retirement Plan Options-Paid Time Off-Career Growth Opportunities-Work Life Balance-Performance or Annual Bonuses-Continued Training and Certifications-Company Vehicle Mileage ReimbursementSchedule : -40hrs per week-Monday to Friday 7am - 5pmWork Location : -Albuquerque, NMJoin Frank's Supply Company, Inc., and contribute to our ongoing success by ensuring smooth purchasing and inventory management processes.
