A Brief Overview
The Purchasing Manager will be responsible for subordinate development, supplier relationships and performance, supply agreements and negotiation for goods and services at Safelite.
What You Will Do
- Ensure all major spend categories are strategically aligned with our global strategy and are under contract
- Confirm all supplier relationships are effectively measured, managed and developed
- Internal stakeholders are effectively coached and supported during sourcing / purchasing events
- Develops a system to evaluate vendor quotations that utilizes appropriate negotiation and purchasing techniques to ensure quality, price, delivery, and service
- Recruits and maintains suppliers that provide high quality products and services at a better price while maintaining the highest code of ethics and conduct
- Prepare and reviews contracts, bids, proposals, and vendor agreements for legal correctness, price, and acceptability of items to specifications
- Other duties assigned by management.
