Description
Superior Electrical, Mechanical, and Plumbing Inc. is a statewide commercial service provider specializing in skilled trades, tenant improvements, and new construction projects. The Commercial Electrical Purchasing Specialist will be responsible for sourcing and ordering materials and supplies for commercial electrical projects. This role requires knowledge of electrical components and the ability to coordinate closely with project managers, field supervisors, wholesalers and vendors to ensure timely and cost-effective purchasing. This position will support the wholesale purchasing team with various clerical functions of the department.
Responsibilities
- Source and purchase electrical materials, tools, and equipment based on project specifications and availability
- Maintain accurate purchase records, vendor pricing, and review inventory levels
- Provide information regarding product availability and delivery schedules
- Collaborate with project managers and the department manager to forecast material needs
- Track orders to ensure timely delivery and resolve any delays or issues
- Ensure compliance with company purchasing policies and budget controls
- Maintain and update purchasing records and files
- Process a moderate volume of audits and data entry tasks
- Perform other clerical duties as assigned to support departmental operations
