Job descriptionAssure inventory / supply plans are in place for supply continuity, minimal excess and obsolescence, and meeting the inventory turns goal Review and approve purchases up to a specified dollar amount Drive actions for improving supplier delivery performance Review shortages and work with internal and external teams to minimize shortages Creatively manage supplies through forecast, stocking policies, Risk Buy and VMI programs Resolve issues on vendor invoice, problematic goods receipt and returns to vendor Work with cross-functional teams to improve processes Monitor schedule and performance aspects of major suppliers Ensure business controls are in place to comply with the company's SOX requirements Ensure processes are in compliance to ISO and other regulatory requirements Lead and build a strong team of buyers to manage above deliverables and maintain key performance metrics to support Coaching and building team to meet deliverables in Purchasing Lead in any other initiatives as given by supervisor Manage vendors to attain the desired performance level in terms of delivery and support services Manage supplier's performance to achieve required delivery and quality performance Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Engineering / Supply Chain Management Minimum 10 years related industry experience in purchasing / production planning and supply chain management Proficient in MS Excel, Word, Outlook and experience in SAP system is highly desirable Analytical with good interpersonal and communication skills Team player, self-driven and able to work independently towards achieving company / group objectives Ability to adapt to a fast-paced work environment and to work with a variety of offshore locations Strong knowledge of supply chain and materials flow concepts

Reporting to the Director Global Purchasing, the role of Manager Purchasing would lead a team of buyers to manage the below-mentioned duties and responsibilities :
What you will be working on
Responsible for planning and implementing activities related to the materials purchase, material control, and inventory control functions
- Responsible for purchasing of all commodities
- Responsible for resolving materials delivery issues Interact internally and externally with executive level management requiring negotiation of difficult matters to influence policy making bodies.
Within ASM) Internal
Manage supplies to meet production plans and customer demands
Outside of ASM (External here refers to Vendors, Suppliers, Customers, Clients)
Manage supplier relationships, business reviews and scorecards, if needed
