Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data effectively. Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills for building relationships with suppliers and internal stakeholders. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment. Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field is preferred.
Industry leading manufacturing organization seeks highly skilled and motivated Purchasing Manager for their Cincinnati, Ohio USA headquarters.The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing the strategic management of product categories, ensuring optimal performance through effective vendor management, sourcing strategies, and inventory control. This role requires a strong understanding of supply chain management and the ability to negotiate favorable terms with suppliers to drive profitability and efficiency.
Duties
- Develop and implement category strategies that align with company goals and market trends.
- Manage vendor relationships to ensure high-quality service and product availability.
- Oversee logistics operations to optimize supply chain efficiency.
- Conduct sourcing activities to identify and evaluate potential suppliers.
- Monitor inventory levels and implement inventory control measures to minimize excess stock.
- Collaborate with procurement management to negotiate contracts and pricing with suppliers.
- Utilize MRP systems to forecast demand and manage inventory effectively.
- Analyze market data and consumer trends to inform category decisions.
- Prepare reports on category performance, including sales analysis and inventory turnover.
Requirements
