One of our clients is seeking an experienced IT Purchasing Analyst to manage day-to-day procurement functions . The selected candidate will be responsible for handling electronic procurement requests, vendor management, bid analysis, and contract documentation . This role ensures that all IT goods and services are procured in compliance with state policies and procedures while maintaining accuracy, efficiency, and maximum competition .

This position requires strong analytical skills, vendor communication, and procurement expertise to support IT purchasing and contract management activities . Candidates must be on-site from Day One, with no remote work allowed .

Key Responsibilities

Procurement Management :

Procure IT goods and services in accordance with Virginia Public Procurement Act (VPPA), APSPM, and agency policies .

• Evaluate purchase requests , working with end-users to obtain accurate specifications and requirements for competitive sourcing.
• Process and maintain electronic procurement requests received through the Procurement Service Desk .

Vendor & Contract Management :

Reconcile vendor inquiries and discrepancies , ensuring compliance with procurement policies.

Customer Service & Compliance :

Provide excellent customer service by assisting end-users in procurement-related queries.
