Who you are & the impact you will have :
QTS’ Business Support Systems (BSS) Manager, Quality Assurance is responsible for overseeing and managing our QA Engineers across the Workday and Salesforce platforms, supporting applications that impact all areas of QTS Business. Our QA teams provide independent testing support of changes to QTS applications as wells as end user change management support and management of the automated testing tools that are currently in use by the QA teams.
What you will do :
Responsible for leading and managing team of QA engineers for Salesforce and Workday with possible growth to other applications such as Oracle
Establish and standardize testing procedures across assigned platforms, ensuring they are in alignment with industry best practices
Create and maintain KPI’s for QA activities across testing phases, providing insight to trends to leadership
Manage, advise on, develop, and maintain manual and automation test frameworks, collecting and reporting quality metrics, designing testing strategies, creating test plans and troubleshooting applications and environments
Ensure proper documentation of test plans and cases, including well detailed API, system integration and web UI test cases
Drive implementation and usage of existing and new testing tools and recommendations for enhancement to support more automated testing across all assigned platforms
Identify system and process improvement / enhancement opportunities
Support and advise team as a technical advisor for tasks, projects and operations, while also being a contributor to the testing team
Provide readouts during each sprint to ensure that any complex issues or roadblocks are communicated to overall team(s) to ensure timely releases
Be the next level of support to troubleshoot and address issues with applications and dev / test environments when the team needs further assistance
What you will need to be successful :
Bachelors degree or higher in computer science, engineering, related field or the equivalent work experience
Five or more years of experience as a QA Engineer, Test Engineer, Business Analyst or similar role, facilitating and documenting requirements, test cases and / or business requirement documents gathered from both business and IT counterparts, including traceability matrices, with three or more years of people management experience
Strong knowledge and experience in testing methodologies, tools, and frameworks
Excellent communication collaboration and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work in a fast-paced agile environment, interfacing with off-shore teams as well
Passion for quality and user satisfaction, with a continuous improvement mindset
Advanced knowledge of software development lifecycle and agile methodology
Experience working effectively with teams and stakeholders to develop relationships and achieve common goals
