Description :
The Quality Assurance Inspector reports to the Corporate Quality Manager to ensure manufacturing meets the requirements on drawings (ie : applicable Codes and Standards, customer specifications, and Feldmeier Equipment SOPs).
Requirements :
Essential Minimum Duties and Responsibilities :
- Verification of incoming materials and components
- Use XRF for positive material identification
- Proficiently use calipers and tape measure for inspection of parts
- Ensure manufacturing meets requirements on drawings (ie : applicable Codes and standards, customer specifications, and Feldmeier Equipment SOPs).
- Meet qualification requirements and maintain Certified Individual UM Certification
- Supervise welding tests as needed
- Review travelers for release to production
- Verify correct build up from drawings
- Verify correct surface finishes are met
- Perform lay-out, fit-up, and final weld inspections
- Witness and sign off on hydrotesting of vessels and / or heat transfer surface
- Verify correct welding procedures are used
- Complete inspection reports and ensure travelers are correctly and accurately completed
- Create ASME and non-code nameplates
- Perform final inspection of equipment prior to shipment
- Review final job packages to prepare and sign Manufacturer’s Data Reports
- Work with production staff and Engineering
- Prepare internal Non-Conformance reports for review by the Quality Manager
- Communicate concerns to the Corporate Quality Assurance Manager and Plant Manager
