SUMMARY
This role will be responsible for all quality inspection of our products produced on the assigned shift and other duties as assigned by the Quality Assurance Supervisor. We are currently hiring for day shift for 12 hour rotating shifts.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Conduct inspections of all molded products running on each line in Molding Department.
- Conduct sampling and testing of compounds off each line in the Compounding Department.
- Document and maintain quality inspection findings for Molding and Compounding.
- Document any non-conformities and hold all affected products for further investigation.
- Conduct and manage all hold product investigations and dispositioning from your shift
- Conduct and manage all computer records, inputs, and statuses of all quality activities.
- Institute complete JDE Inventory records of any hold or released product
- Comply with company policy, procedures and safety rules.
- Maintain constructive working relationships with co-workers, leads, supervisors, and managers.
- Maintain regular attendance in accordance with company policy.
- Perform other duties as assigned to the satisfaction of your supervisor and the shift supervisor.
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS
High school diploma or general education degree (GED), or one to three months related experience and / or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Experience
Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
Skills
Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence and to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization. Good computer skills with knowledge in Microsoft Office is required. Demonstrated ability to work independently with minimal supervision. Forklift experience is preferred.
Communication
Ability to apply commonsense understanding to carry out instructions in written, oral or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations. Good verbal communication is essential.
