Job Summary :
The Quality Project Supervisor is responsible for leading, coordinating, and supervising key quality projects at the Nampa plant. This position focuses on building and maintaining strong partnerships with internal teams and external stakeholders to ensure food quality and safety standards are met during and after construction and operational changes. The role prioritizes collaboration, leadership, and employee development, with a goal of fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
Job Responsibilities & Tasks :
- Supervise and lead key quality project activities during the Nampa building expansion to ensure compliance with food safety, sanitation, and quality standards.
- Provide leadership and guidance during the qualification of new production lines, process extensions, and equipment installations, partnering with Sanitation Managers and cross-functional teams.
- Collaborate closely with stakeholders such as QA Supervisors, Engineering, Sanitation Managers, and Operations to ensure successful project execution.
- Act as the key liaison between internal teams and external partners, ensuring all stakeholders are aligned on project goals and processes.
- Provide consistent updates and clear communication to ensure alignment on quality expectations and deliverables.
- Oversee the implementation and validation of food safety protocols (e.g., CIP processes, sanitation programs).
- Monitor project timelines, ensuring activities meet deadlines without compromising quality.
- Supervise cross-functional efforts in implementing sanitary design across projects.
- Develop and support quality continuous improvement programs while inspiring team members to participate in and implement improvement plans.
- Supervise teams as they conduct data analysis, trend reviews, or audits to identify opportunities for process enhancements.
- Use data to monitor quality metrics, facilitating informed decision-making and tracking project results.
- Lead root cause analysis (RCA) efforts when incidents arise, ensuring corrective and preventative actions are effectively implemented.
- Support the development of operator training programs on quality systems and ensure team involvement in project tasks.
- Supervise and validate participation in quality-related training and ensure personnel understand key quality procedures.
- Collaborate with teams from Research & Development and Production to provide quality input for new product development and ensure a smooth transfer to manufacturing.
- Develop, implement, and maintain key quality systems to ensure compliance with HACCP, GFSI, and state / federal food safety policies.
- Act as a back-up SQF Practitioner for the facility as needed.
- All Other Duties as Assigned.
