Position Summary :
Oversees the activity of the quality assurance department and staff. Develops, implements, and maintains a system of quality and reliability testing for the organization's production and development processes.
Qualifications :
- Bachelor's degree in quality engineering, manufacturing engineering, or a related engineering degree.
- At least 5 years of combined manufacturing / quality engineering in a manufacturing / machine job shop environment.
- At least 3 years of supervisory experience.
- Experience and / or understanding of Six Sigma and lean manufacturing.
- Must have extensive knowledge of and expertise in : - ISO9001-2015 Quality Systems. - ASME and AWS welding requirements .
- Proven experience with quality processes and audits.
- Experience with blueprint reading and tolerancing and gauge management systems and standards.
- Demonstrated examples of initiative and aggressiveness in completing projects.
- Very strong interpersonal and customer service skills.
- Exhibits strong leadership and sound decision-making qualities.
- Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing, with a wide variety of company personnel and customers.
