JOB SUMMARY :
Quality Control Lead is responsible for leading QC technicians as well as managing quality of work processes and products from receiving through production including multiple filling lines / technologies. The Quality Control Lead is responsible for ensuring that all product that is sent to customers meets quality standards by enforcing compliance with current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMPs), Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), Work Instructions (WIs), and Quality Directives (QDs).
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES :
- Determine goals and expectations with QC technicians (including corrective action and reviews).
- Support preparation of all documents required for production (includes batch records, Quality checks, QDs, and establishing requirements for fill weight, lot codes, pack-out, etc.
- Partner with Quality leadership, Account Managers and other internal departments for customer communication and investigations as needed.
- Complete verifications of area clearance and sufficient cleaning and sanitation prior to production startup.
- Review QDs and Production Notes with line leads and review units produced for setup as compared to master retains to authorize line for full production.
- Complete quality inspections on raw materials, components, bulk material, in process material, and finished goods and fill out all applicable documentation; coordinate with operations and production personnel if there are any out of specification results or issues requiring investigation.
- Support creation and updates to production documentation and processes for bulk compounding and production as required.
- Lead shift crossover meetings with QC and report out on number and percent reworks.
- Partner with production personnel to set priorities, complete investigations, and develop CAPAs for continuous improvement opportunities.
- Enforce compliance with GMPs, SOPs, WIs, Batch Tickets, and QDs across all production processes (quality and production).
- Work with account managers to ensure preparedness for pilots, first production, customer visits, and customer requests to update standards.
- Manage priority and ensure completion of AQL (Acceptance Quality Limit) testing on components and finished goods as necessary.

In compliance with Colorado's Equal Pay for Equal Work Act, we are disclosing the compensation range for roles that will be, or could be, performed in Colorado. Compensation for similar positions located outside of Colorado may differ.
If performed in Colorado, the base hourly pay for this position generally ranges between $25.00 - $29.00. This hourly pay range may vary based on relevant factors including but not limited to experience, education, performance, scope of responsibilities, location and other considerations permitted by law.
