Our sheet metal and metal stamping client is hiring a Quality Engineer!
Responsibilities of the Quality Engineer
- Conduct internal quality audits
- Facilitate the Part Submission Warrant documentation
- Assist with the documentation of the DFMEA's, PFMEA's and Quality Control Plans
- Facilitate 8D, 5 Whys, 4M, ISIR, etc. documentation
- Facilitate Material Review Board team audits
- Be instrumental in the use and application of metrology
- Oversee inspection functions and be involved with product launches, changes and corrective actions
Requirements of the Quality Engineer
- Bachelor's degree in engineering or another technical discipline is strongly preferred but not mandatory
- One or more years in quality engineering in a metal forming environment, ideally sheetmetal, fasteners, wireforms, welding or metal stampings
- Familiarity with metrology and the quality aspects of sheet metal parts that are produced on machinery such as Fiber Optic Lasers, CNC Turrets, OBI punch presses, 60-ton press brakes, power shears, notchers, timesavers, spot welders, sanders, grinders, sanding lathes, deburring machines, drill presses, tapping machines, saw mills and inserters is a plus
- Use MS Office including Excel and Word
- Some limited travel may be required including for supplier audits or to visit customers

Compensation for the Quality Engineer
The annual starting salary for this position ranges from $75,000 per year to $105,000 per year based on experience
