Full time, day shift position
Job is 90% remote requires monthly attendance at one or two meetings on site . This particular position focuses on Heart Transplant, Lung Transplant and Ventricular Device patients and outcomes.
- Plans, organizes, and directs departmental quality improvement activities. Conducts departmental studies of identified problem areas in accordance with the Quality Management Plan.
- Analyzes and assesses the important aspects of care (such as appropriateness of diagnosis, blood transfusions, indication for surgery, clinical pertinence of medical record documentation, complications, anesthesia care, infections, utilization issues, etc.) for specific patient populations which represent important clinical issues and reflect the strategic clinical direction of the organization. Identifies areas for improvement.
- Develops strategies and action plans to correct the improvement areas. Responsible for ensuring that the goals are met based off of the action plans.
- Facilitates multidisciplinary teams to achieve improved quality care.

Our Program in Transplantation is looking for a talented RN to work with our Lung Transplant, Heart Transplant and Left Ventricular Assist Device team to assess and analyze our opportunities for improvement, practice changes and patient safety priorities. This position reports directly to the manager of Transplant Quality and Regulatory Compliance and the Medical Director Program in Transplantation. It is a 95% remote position with minimal on-site requirements. This position works closely with surgeons, specialty physicians, advanced practice providers, transplant leaders and other team members to achieve program goals and meet compliance with CMS, UNOS and The Joint Commission regulations. Participate in the true integration of quality assessment, performance improvement, data analytics, patient safety and root cause analysis in our targeted patient populations. Lead improvement efforts, specialty accreditation teams and grow your regulatory knowledge.
