Job description

SUMMARY

As a Continuous Improvement Leader, you will play a critical role in identifying, implementing, and sustaining improvements in our manufacturing processes. The successful candidate will be a quick learner, highly analytical, and possess Lean / TPM training or certifications. They will have the opportunity to significantly impact our operational efficiency and product quality. This person will be instrumental in building our Continuous Improvement / Lean culture and leading kaizen events throughout the year.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential function.

  • Drive Operational Excellence in the facility via Lean / Kaizen events, CI activities, Projects.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify opportunities for process improvement.
  • Conduct data analysis and root cause analysis to identify areas of improvement.
  • Develop and implement strategies for process optimization and waste reduction.
  • Lead Lean initiatives and projects aimed at improving productivity and efficiency (OEE).
  • Manage a portfolio of process improvement projects.
  • Monitor and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) related to continuous improvement efforts.
  • Train and mentor team members on Lean / TPM principles and best practices.
  • Act as a change agent, driving a culture of continuous improvement throughout the organization.
  • Ensure that improvements are sustained over time through effective documentation and standardization of processes.
  • Create effective communication channels to disseminate project insights and results throughout the organization.
  • Adhere to established company values, practices, policies, and procedures at all times. Follow and support compliance with all applicable safety rules, laws, regulations, and standards.
  • Maintain an open and candid working relationship with immediate supervisor / manager in discussing matters of importance.
  • Demonstrate regular and punctual attendance at the assigned work location.

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES

  • MINIMUM EXPERIENCE, EDUCATION, AND CERTIFICATIONS

    An individual qualified for this job must have and maintain the following qualifications :

  • Strong preference for bachelor's degree in relative major; will consider additional years of experience in lieu of degree.
  • Experience - 2 years minimum in a Continuous Improvement role (100% of duties = CI) in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
  • Six Sigma or Continuous Improvement certifications a plus.
  • 5-years’ experience working in a manufacturing environment.
  • Demonstrated experience in holding LEAN events, value stream analysis.
  • Experience working with people from diverse cultural and educational backgrounds.

    The environmental conditions described here are representative of those the associate encounters while performing the Essential Functions of the job.

  • The individual will work in an office setting in the same room as other individuals. Noise levels are average for an office and include conversation and / or office equipment noise.
  • While working with team members and equipment at manufacturing and distribution facilities, the individual may be exposed to moving machinery, work in high / precarious places, marked changes in temperature and humidity, and dust, odors, and fumes. Typical noise level is loud.
