Job Description
Benefits :The Quality Control Specialist is responsible for ensuring all parts, products, and completed jobs meet the company's quality standards and procedures. This includes hands-on inspection of materials, verifying special orders, and identifying any discrepancies that may impact successful job installation. The role involves performing manual adjustments or coordinating with the technical team for part recuts, and following up to ensure all items are ready in time for scheduled installs.
Key Responsibilities :
- Inspect and verify the quality of all parts and finished products according to company standards
- Review job folders to confirm correct materials, colors, and edge banding
- Measure, count, and identify parts based on blueprints and job plans
- Assist installers with missing or damaged parts at the start of each day
- Manually recut parts or submit recut forms and labels to the Tech team for programming
- Prepare all parts and components for installation by staging them appropriately
- Ensure safe handling and stacking of parts to avoid damage
- Coordinate and place special hardware, drawer boxes, closet rods, garage wall components, and deco doors with each job
- Identify and flag any missing components; initiate recut procedures when needed
- Use a colored cone system to indicate job status (Red Needs Edgebanding, Yellow Missing Parts, Green Complete)
- Maintain organized records of quality control issues and propose improvements to management
- Support additional tasks as needed to ensure smooth production and installation processes
- Dependable and punctual, with a strong work ethic
- Team-oriented with the ability to work independently
- Strong focus on quality and detail; creative and solutions-oriented
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, architectural drawings, and plans
- Skilled in using measuring tools with precision (to 1 / 32)
- Familiarity with product components to accurately identify parts
- Capable of planning and executing daily work tasks efficiently
- High attention to detail and strong organizational skills
- Able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Clean and organized work habits
- Physically capable of heavy lifting as required
