Quality Manager
Admiral Metals is a leading Metal Service Center based in Woburn, MA servicing the Northeast, Mid-Atlantic, Mid-West and we are hiring a quality manager experienced with QMS and AS9100 & ISO Certification.
Responsibilities :
The Quality Manager is responsible for developing, executing, and monitoring the company's quality programs, policies, procedures, and initiatives.
- Manage the QMS to ensure proper quality processes and systems are in place to facilitate, control, and distribute high quality products and services.
- Maintain the company's AS9100 & ISO Certifications through the QMS and auditing of internal processes.
- Lead internal and external audits to ensure compliance and recertification.
- Interpret customer compliance requirements and specifications, apply them to the business, and promote awareness throughout the organization.
- Develop, analyze, and report on KPA's, quality metrics, and trends.
- Oversee document control of policies, work instructions, procedures, and forms.
- Review and interpret the chemical and physical properties on certifications to ensure compliance and traceability of material.
- Maintain the equipment calibration program for micrometers, calipers, and scales.
- Initiate and track employee training activities using the company's learning management system, KPA.
- Collaborate with departments to drive continuous improvement within the company.
- Respond to customer non-conformances and collaborate with suppliers to ensure quality of incoming material.
- Review returns, investigate claims, initiate corrective actions, and disposition material.
- Conduct quality management meetings and training.
- Occasional overnight travel required.
