Quality Root Cause Specialist

PRIMARY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES :

  • Root Cause Analysis : Conduct thorough investigations into process failures and customer complaints. Utilize structured problem-solving methodologies (e.g., 5 Whys, Fishbone Diagram, FMEA) to identify root causes and prevent recurrence.
  • Corrective and Preventive Actions (CAPA) : Develop, implement, and monitor CAPA initiatives based on findings from root cause analysis. Collaborate with engineering, operations, and quality teams to ensure timely and effective solutions.
  • Quality Assurance and Compliance : Ensure compliance with quality standards. Prepare and review quality documentation, including inspection protocols, control plans, and process validation.
  • Data Analysis and Reporting : Collect and analyze quality metrics, such as incident rates, COPQ, and customer satisfaction. Generate reports and presentations to communicate findings, trends, and improvement plans to stakeholders.
  • Process Improvement : Partner with operations and engineering teams to identify opportunities for process improvement.
  • Training and Support : Provide guidance and training to team members on quality best practices, root cause analysis, and CAPA processes to build a culture of quality and continuous improvement.
  • Lead change management initiatives associated with process improvements to ensure smooth transitions and user adoption.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES :

  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, Information Systems, or a related field preferred
  • Proven experience in process mapping, procedure, and work instruction documentation.
  • Strong proficiency with Visio, Smartsheets, and Excel.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Organization skills to track document progress needed.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and subject matter experts.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Self-motivated with a strong drive to achieve results
  • Experience with process optimization and creating efficiencies
  • Strong analytical skills with experience using root cause analysis and problem-solving tools (5 Whys, Fishbone Diagram, Pareto Analysis, etc.)
