The Corruption and Crime Commission is seeking to an experience Manager of Systems in the Operational Support Directorate.
THE WORKING ENVIRONMENT
The Corruption and Crime Commission (CCC) is a leading anti-corruption agency whose primary purpose is to strengthen the integrity of the public sector, reduce corruption and disrupt criminal activity for the benefit of our community.
The Operational Support directorate is responsible for the delivery of high-quality capabilities to the Commission's serious misconduct and unexplained wealth investigations. This includes the effective delivery of covert surveillance and electronic collection activities.
THE OPPORTUNITY
The Manager Systems is responsible for ensuring the Commission’s electronic interception capabilities and operational network remain contemporary, secure, reliable and fit for purpose. This work involves management of all aspects of the Electronic Collection Unit's Information Technology (IT) infrastructure, networks & telecommunication systems, provision of technical documentation, information & policies and management of projects to develop new capabilities to support business requirements.
The Manager Systems role oversees the Commission’s operational network, telecommunications interception and surveillance device systems, ensuring optimal performance. This includes managing technical improvements, installing new systems & equipment, troubleshooting issues, and maintaining system documentation, policies & procedures.
The position is responsible for implementing & managing industry-standard configuration, change management and issue resolution systems. It involves maintaining network & system design documentation, monitoring performance against standards and delivering training to enhance technical skills within the unit. Staying current with emerging technologies, IT communication standards and legislation is essential.
Key duties include reviewing technical designs against industry standards, assessing improvement options and contributing to strategic planning & technology proposals. The role manages service contracts, oversees project lifecycles and coordinates the development of new capabilities. It also requires engagement with government agencies, law enforcement, intelligence counterparts and industry experts to implement innovative technology solutions.
Additional responsibilities include providing professional advice to senior leadership, supervising staff a& service providers, ensuring governance & security compliance and maintaining best practices in electronic collection. The Manager Systems also undertakes research, prepares tender specifications and performs other tasks to support the directorate’s objectives.
The Commission requires applicants to be Australian citizens or be immediately eligible for citizenship, and appointment is conditional on satisfactory completion of a rigorous security clearance process.
