About the Role
The Company is seeking a Vice President for its Quantitative Research team. The successful candidate will be tasked with the implementation, deployment, independent calculation, and risk management of investable indices. This role is pivotal in the Strategic Indices business, with a direct and independent focus on revenue generation in collaboration with Structuring, Trading, and Technology teams. The team operates on a global scale and is involved with a diverse range of asset classes, including Equities, Rates, Commodities, and FX. Responsibilities include participating in the development of systematic trading strategies, expanding and supporting the risk management platform, and building infrastructure to enhance efficiency and controls. The role also demands a high level of programming proficiency, particularly in Python, and a strong background in advanced mathematics as applied to financial modeling.
Candidates for this position at The Company should hold an advanced degree in a quantitative field and have a background in quantitative investment strategies and derivatives, with a preference for cross-asset exposure. A strong programming background, particularly in Python, is essential, as is a deep understanding of advanced mathematics in financial modeling. The ideal candidate will have experience in financial markets, knowledge of trading concepts, and a keen interest in applying agile development practices in a front-office trading environment. The role requires exceptional analytical, quantitative, and problem-solving skills, as well as the ability to communicate complex technical topics with clarity. A mindset focused on robust system design and implementation, including diligent testing and verification practices, is also highly valued.
