THIS POSITION IS OPEN UNTIL FILLED AND MAY CLOSE WITHOUT NOTICE.
Amended June 2024, adding information about State licensure Duties include supervising the surveying staff; overseeing and participating in surveying projects for the Capital Improvement Program, and Engineering and other divisions of the City; reviewing and interpreting raw data and inputting it into the data collector for processing; providing CAD drawings of reduced surveys including right-of-way, easements, lot lines, and current land owner(s); sealing plats, easements and miscellaneous surveyed documents with the Texas RPLS seal; maintaining survey records; setting new property corners for right-of-way acquired by the city; and answering questions and providing information concerning engineering and surveying activities to the public, City departments, contractors and other agencies. A Bachelor's degree, or equivalent, in land surveying, or a related science degree with major course work in land surveying; and five years of survey experience, as well as two years supervisory experience, required. Must have experience with Robotic Total Station equipment as well as Trimble GPS equipment. Experience using AutoDesk Civil 3D, Eagle Point Data Reduction for Civil 3D and Trimble Business Center software preferred. Must have a Texas Registered Public Land Surveyor license (see tsps.org for licensing requirements) , a valid Texas driver's license and a good driving record. Starting pay for this position will fall in the median of the full pay range.
