Job descriptionActive RPLS license in the State of Texas. 5+ years of experience in land surveying with a solid understanding of both field and office practices. Proven experience in business development, client relations, or project acquisition is highly preferred. Proficiency in AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and survey-related technologies such as Trimble, Leica, or Carlson systems. Strong communication, leadership, and organizational skills. A team-first mentality with the ability to mentor junior staff and represent the firm professionally. About the Role :
We are seeking a motivated and experienced Registered Professional Land Surveyor (RPLS) to lead and support a variety of land surveying projects across Central Texas. The ideal candidate not only brings a strong technical foundation in boundary, topographic, and construction surveys, but also a passion for client engagement, business development, and helping grow our presence in the market.
Key Responsibilities :
- Lead and manage land surveying projects from start to finish, ensuring quality control and timely delivery.
- Prepare and review plats, legal descriptions, and survey deliverables in compliance with state and local regulations.
- Oversee and support survey field crews and CAD technicians, providing technical guidance as needed.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, building lasting relationships and understanding project goals.
- Collaborate with leadership on proposals, budgeting, and strategy to grow market share and client base.
- Identify new business opportunities, attend industry events, and actively support marketing and sales efforts.
- Ensure all survey work complies with regulatory standards and professional licensing requirements.
