Overview

The Opportunity : RF Design Engineer III / IV

We're seeking a highly motivated and skilled RF Design Engineer to join our growing team in either our San Jose or Colorado Springs, CO locations. In this role, you'll be instrumental in designing and developing our innovative RF / Microwave product lines. You'll contribute to the design of critical components, from amplifiers and mixers to filters and oscillators, utilizing your expertise in simulation, modeling, and testing. This position offers the opportunity to work on cutting-edge technologies that are integral to aerospace and defense applications.

Responsibilities

• Advanced RF / Microwave Design : Lead the design and development of complex RF / Microwave circuits, including amplifiers, mixers, switches, filters, and oscillators, using advanced simulation and modeling techniques, in adherence to CAES BY HONEYWELL Design Guidelines.
• Complex System Analysis : Conduct and oversee comprehensive multistage cascade analyses, ensuring optimal performance of complex RF systems.
• Test and Validation Leadership : Define test strategies, generate test procedures, conduct thorough circuit and reliability analysis, and provide guidance during testing and optimization of prototype circuits and components.
• Cross-functional Collaboration : Collaborate with mechanical engineers, designers, and drafters to ensure seamless integration of electronic designs, overseeing mechanical design and drawing packages.
• Support production line with testing and troubleshooting in order to meet delivery commitments.
• Technical Mentorship : Provide technical leadership to junior engineers and technicians, offering guidance during the testing, tuning, and optimization of prototype circuits.
• Process Improvement : Champion safety standards, promote a clean and organized workspace, and actively participate in Lean / Six Sigma initiatives, both within your area and across other functions.
• Project Ownership : Take ownership of assigned projects, ensuring timely completion and adherence to quality standards.

Salary Range : RF Engineer III : $139,000-$165,000 (San Jose) - $105,000-$130,000 (Colorado Springs) RF Engineer IV : $169,000-$203,000 (San Jose) - $135,000-$170,000 (Colorado Springs) annually. Applicable pay within the posted range may vary based on factors including, but not limited to, geographical location, job function of the position, education, and experience of the successful candidate.
