Job Description

The Strategic Account Manager (SAM) for Audio and Digital is responsible for developing and growing key client relationships, driving revenue growth, and delivering customized advertising and marketing solutions for businesses. This role requires a strong understanding of audio, digital and event marketing and the importance of outstanding customer service. The SAM will deliver customized solutions that meet the growth objectives of clients and prospects, resulting in long-term partnerships.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute strategic sales plans to achieve the goals of the client and company.
  • Consistently exhibit successful new business development activities
  • Identify and cultivate relationships with key decision-makers locally, regionally and with advertising agencies.
  • Sell integrated advertising solutions, including audio, digital, and event sponsorships.
  • Conduct market research to identify potential business opportunities.
  • Effective relationship building, customer service, communication and negotiation skills
  • Negotiate contracts and pricing with clients to maximize revenue.
  • Collaborate with internal teams, including marketing, production, and programming, to ensure successful campaign execution.
  • Monitor and analyze sales performance, providing reports and forecasts to leadership.
  • Stay informed about industry trends, competitive landscape, and emerging marketing strategies.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, or a related field preferred (or equivalent experience).
  • 3+ years of experience in media sales, advertising, or a related field.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills are a must
  • Proven track record of meeting and exceeding sales goals.
  • Strong understanding of audio, digital media, and marketing trends.
  • Ability to develop and maintain strong client relationships.
  • Life-long learner and the drive to become very knowledgeable of various business categories
  • Proficiency in CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Self-motivated, results-driven, and highly organized.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience selling advertising or working in a broadcast media environment.
  • Existing relationships with key advertisers and agencies.
  • Knowledge of digital marketing, including programmatic advertising and social media campaigns.
  • Experience using media analytics tools to drive sales strategies.
  • Familiarity with FCC regulations and advertising compliance.
  • Physical Demands & Work Conditions

  • In-person, office-based with a high volume of client meetings : in-person and virtual.
  • Occasional travel required for client visits.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, depending on client needs.
  • Must be able to lift up to 15 lbs. for promotional materials and event setup.
  • This role is ideal for a driven and strategic sales professional passionate about audio and digital media, with the ability to build lasting client relationships and drive revenue growth.
