Performs quality scans accurately and promptly, following physicians’ orders and special instructions. Assists with operative Room cases and interventional procedures, as needed, in diagnostic and CT / MRI modalities. Safely operates CT / MRI or X-ray equipment following manufacturer’s guidelines and ALARA. Prepares patient’s room with needed supplies and medications / contrast. Provides history and communicates with the Radiologist regarding protocol changes. Provides essential Imaging services for the department. Practices Image Gently and Image Wisely on ALL exams.
Qualifications :
- ARRT Registered in X-ray and other modality(s) or registry eligible
- Preferred One (1) year of patient care experience in Radiology
- Licensed by the Texas Department of Health as a Medical Radiologic Technologist – General License
- Current BLS Certification
- Willing to participate in the Departmental Call Rotation
- Must be available to work holidays and other shifts as needed
