100% FTE, 5 days / week : Monday - Friday, with 1 in 6 weekend rotation and occasional holiday coverage. Typical core weekday hours are 7 : 30 am - 4 : 30 pm. No call requirements. You will work at the University Hospital in Madison, WI.
Description :
As an Advanced Practice Provider, you will play an integral role in our inpatient and ambulatory care teams by providing high-quality, cost-effective care to patients.
We are seeking a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant :
- Practice in a dynamic and challenging subspecialty working in close collaboration with interventional radiologists, nurses, technologists and other advanced practice providers
- Care for patients in both the inpatient and outpatient settings referred to UW Health - Interventional Radiology with acute and chronic illness such as vascular disorders, hepatobiliary disease, acute bleeding, cancer, end-stage renal failure, renal outflow disorders and need for central venous access.
- Perform minor procedures inclusive of paracenteses, central line removals, drain manipulation / removals, G-tube exchanges and other minor procedures as deemed necessary to optimize patient care.
- Perform triage, new patient consultation and daily rounding as an integral member of our expanding inpatient interventional radiology consult service
Education : Minimum :
If Nurse Practitioner : Master's or Doctorate's degree from accredited Nursing Program.
If Physician Assistant : Bachelor's or Master's degree from accredited PA Program.
Licenses and Certifications :
Minimum - State of Wisconsin NP or PA licensure
