Radiology / Mammography Technician Lead
The Radiology / Mammography Technician Lead is responsible for all testing performed by staff technologists in compliance with the Mammography Quality Standards Act (MQSA) Annual Inspection.
POSITION-SPECIFIC COMPETENCIES / ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS / DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES :
General X-Ray :
- Identifies patient service requirements by establishing personal rapport with potential and actual patients and others who can understand service requirements.
- Ensures operation of radiology equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements, following manufacturer's instructions, troubleshooting malfunctions, calling for repairs, maintaining equipment inventories, and evaluating new equipment and techniques.
- Maintains radiology supplies inventory by checking stock to determine inventory level; anticipating needed supplies; placing and expediting orders for supplies; verifying receipt of supplies.
- Complies with federal, state, and local legal and professional requirements by studying existing and new legislation, anticipating future legislation, enforcing adherence to requirements, and advising management on needed actions.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS :
Education : Advanced training beyond High School includes completing an accredited or approved program in Radiologic Technology.
Experience : At least one year of radiology work experience and some clerical / office skills preferred.
Expertise : Typing, filing, attention to detail, action-oriented, dependability, self-management, and following assigned directives are essential.
Language : Comprehend and use the primary English language, both written and spoken, to communicate information and ideals.
Hours of Work : Hours scheduled for maximum patient access.
Travel : May vary based on Organizational need.
