Job Summary / Responsibilities :
HDR is a growing organization made up of great people working together on projects solving our transit client’s greatest challenges. Be a part of our Rail and Transit System’s team, changing the way we connect our cities through electrification. HDR is seeking a talented, driven individual who is interested in Overhead Contact Systems (OCS) for rail electrification. This is a great opportunity to learn a niche industry under our senior engineers and work on challenging projects across North America. Here are some of the responsibilities associated with this position :
- Collect, analyze, and interpret data.
- Perform design calculations based on provided data and specifications using templates.
- Learn and apply relevant codes and standards.
- Assist with the preparation of contract drawings, reports, calculations, and specifications.
- Coordinate with other engineering groups on multiple projects.
- Coordinate with CAD technicians to create, edit and publish design drawings.
- Assist with design and construction quantity take-offs and cost estimating.
- Serve as technical liaison with client and other team members.
- Work in a team environment and participate in group meetings.
