With over 65 years in the rail manufacturing industry, we take pride in delivering top-quality materials while fostering a team-oriented and progressive work environment. This 100% onsite role requires someone who thrives in a fast-paced setting, can take initiative, and is ready to step up and contribute from day one.

As a CNC Machinist, you will be responsible for programming, operating, and troubleshooting CNC machines, ensuring precision manufacturing of railroad track materials. You’ll read blueprints, interpret G-code, and work with various manual tools to maintain quality and efficiency throughout the production process. This role involves working with 3 and 5-axis CNC machines, requiring a sharp eye for detail and the ability to adapt quickly as priorities shift. The right candidate will bring hands-on experience in CNC machining, a strong mechanical aptitude, and the ability to work independently while also collaborating within a team.

Requirements : What You’ll Do :

  • Program CNC software, operate machines, and ensure quality production.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, G-code, and work orders to execute precise machining.
  • Troubleshoot equipment issues and adjust machine settings to optimize performance.
  • Work in a heavy industrial environment, using manual tools and equipment as needed.

We are looking for a CNC Machinist with prior experience in CNC machining and a background in industrial or manufacturing environments. You must be a problem solver, adaptable, and confident in your ability to work with minimal supervision. A High School Diploma or GED is required, along with proficiency in measuring tools such as tape measures and calipers. The ability to understand technical instructions and remain flexible in a dynamic production setting is key to success in this role.

At A&K Railroad Materials Inc., we invest in our employees and offer a comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, and vision insurance, 401(k) with company match, Paid Time Off, holiday pay, company-paid life insurance, short-term disability, and tuition reimbursement.
