We are currently seeking a 40-hour Certified Hand Therapist (CHT) or a therapist in the process of preparing for CHT certification to join our esteemed hand therapy practice at MGH in Boston, MA. Our team of 10 experienced CHTs collaboratively delivers exceptional care.
The ideal candidate will have advanced skills in managing patients with hand and upper extremity diagnoses, using therapeutic techniques to restore physical function and promote patient independence in daily activities. Our clinic serves both scheduled appointments and walk-in patients from MD visits, requiring candidates to demonstrate evidence-based clinical reasoning and advanced treatment skills, including splinting.
We offer ongoing mentorship and opportunities for clinical growth through internal continuing education, along with substantial personal CE funding for conferences. Additionally, CHTs may be called upon to participate in program planning and protocol development, and to assist in covering other locations if needed.

Responsible for providing high-quality occupational therapy services to patients and overseeing the work of other occupational therapists. The role also involves collaborating with other healthcare professionals to ensure the best possible outcomes for patients.

Essential Functions
- Conducting assessments of patients' physical, cognitive, and functional abilities to determine appropriate therapy interventions.
- Developing and implementing individualized treatment plans to address patients' needs and goals.
- Providing ongoing therapy services to patients, including but not limited to : manual therapy, therapeutic exercise, functional training, and modalities.
- Supervising and mentoring other occupational therapists to ensure high-quality care and adherence to best practices.
- Collaborating with other healthcare professionals, including physicians, nurses, and social workers, to coordinate care and optimize patient outcomes.
- Keeping accurate and up-to-date records of patient progress and treatment plans.
- Participating in professional development opportunities and staying up-to-date with advances in occupational therapy research and practice.
- Contributing to program development and quality improvement initiatives as needed.
