Position Purpose : The pharmacy intern will learn both clinical and business skills that will prepare them for a career in managed care pharmacy. They will primarily work with pharmacists to support clinical and operational quality improvement initiatives.

Duties :

• Analyze pharmacy / medical claims data to improve quality or cost-effectiveness of care
• Review drug information literature to make evidence-based clinical decisions
• Review literature to determine and implement opportunities to advance health equity
• Support quality initiatives to improve appropriate medication use
• Learn various clinical services that pharmacies and health plans provide to members
• Convey knowledge of clinical savings capabilities and opportunities in applied markets
• Improve provider engagement strategies and communications

Experience / Experience : Bachelor’s degree or equivalent undergraduate coursework completed. Must be enrolled in a Pharmacy graduate program at an accredited university or college through the internship period.

Pay Range : $18-23 / hour
