Description
Greets patients, visitors and business associates in person or by phone. Assist and direct them as needed. Supports the department registration, data and administrative needs.
Principle Responsibilities
- Receive patients, visitors and business associates.Provide a welcoming environment.Provide direction and assistance, offer escort as needed.Receive messages, flowers, newspapers, and other patient-related deliveries.Assure availability of wheelchairs and waiting room supplies.Access patient electronic chart only based on need related to this service function.May do patient check-in within Excellian or other program, and conduct check-in procedures.May assist patients to other departments.May enter orders into Excellian, and schedule patient for a service.
- Answer calls and inquiries.Screen, verify, and relay messages to department personnel and physicians.May monitor Excellian messages folders.
- May perform department-specific tasks such as administrative support, data collection, room scheduling, clerical support.
- Other duties as assigned.
