Job descriptionHas good communication skills (oral and written) An active listener who can respond to fellow employees / customers in a timely, competent manner Is always friendly and courteous Able to distinguish emergency patient situations Presents a professional, caring image Able to adapt and work independently and efficiently under pressure, with multiple interruptions and with a high degree of accuracy Previous front office experience in a medical practice environment, preferred Previous EMR experience Knowledge of medical terminology and CPT and ICD-9 coding Must successfully pass a background check and a drug screening High School graduate or equivalent Competitive pay rates A generous PTO package A Monday-Friday schedule, no weekends and paid holidays Medical, Dental Vision and supplemental benefits (Benefits start at the 1st of the month after hire date) 401k with a company match (90-day waiting period applies)

The Medical Receptionist will report directly to the Office Manager.
Some of your responsibilities in this role :
- Answers the telephone, triages call appropriately and takes messages when needed
- Schedules Telehealth visits and acts as a support for this function
- Manages an inbox for patient refill request
- Answers questions as able, referring clinical questions to RNs or Clinical Coordinator
- Completes all necessary insurance information for refill request
- Performs bookkeeping tasks and / or assists as required with authorizations
- Schedules follow-up appointments, outpatient procedures and tests and makes referrals to physicians as necessary
- Confirms patient procedure appointments
