Records Management Analyst
Positions in this role plan, organize, and implement document control procedures for an automated records control system. Responsibilities include analyzing paper and document flow patterns, recommending process improvements, overseeing document collection, indexing, imaging, storage, and traceability, and developing records retention schedules based on various requirements.
The role also involves ensuring document access and security, studying administrative problems, providing technical expertise in vital records listing, maintaining system documentation and libraries, acting as a liaison on records matters, responding to subpoenas, serving as records expert in litigation, evaluating records management software and hardware, coordinating data system analyses and hardware purchases, preparing cost-benefit analyses, supervising staff, managing budgets, and other duties as assigned.
Notes
- The scheduled wage increase of 5% will take effect on 7 / 1 / 25.
- Eligible benefitted employees hired on or after July 10, 2021, will be enrolled in the San Diego City Employees Retirement System (SDCERS).
