Job description
Position Summary : Ensures the day to day operations of the Medical Records Department of the facility. Responsible for ensuring timely filing and entering of documentation into the patient’s medical record; responsible for ensuring confidentiality and security of the medical records; works closely with Department Managers to ensure timely completion and completion of medical records and required documentation; reviews documentation submitted for accuracy and thoroughness; provides reports and date to the CEO, DON, DCS, Medical Director, Department Directors monthly for the status of daily documentation and deficiencies; provides weekly reports to the Department Manager of deficiencies as needed.
Minimum Qualifications :
Education : High School graduate or GED required.
Experience : Minimum of one (1) year prior work in a medical records department of a hospital of doctor’s office setting. Experience in a psychiatric setting preferred.
Other Required Knowledge / Skills / Abilities :
Must be able to operate desktop computer for data entry and record management. Must exercise sound judgment and decision making skills. Must be able to utilize general clerical skills when performing tasks. Must be able to prioritize work tasks and exercise time management skills.
Job Type : Full-time
Pay : $14.00 - $17.00 per hour
