Job Duties
You will develop, evaluate, and provide recommendations to management on qualifications statements and determinations.
You will provide advisory to management on various hiring strategies (e.g., merit promotion, Direct Hire Authority, veterans appointments, students and recent graduates, etc.) and compensation flexibilities available to meet individual needs.
You will provide guidance on U.S. Office of Personnel Management (OPM), Department of War (DoW), and Department of the Navy (DoN) pay setting regulation, policies, and/or guidance.
You will provide guidance on various hiring requirements (e.g., DoN business processes, 180-day waiver, Merit Hiring Plan implementation, Executive Level Certification, etc.) Clears priority program prior to the submission of recruit/fill actions.
You will track and provide advisory on various non-recruitment personnel actions (e.g., time limited appointments, temporary promotions, career ladder promotions, within-grade increases, leave without pay, reassignment, return-to-duty, etc.)
You will review job opportunity announcements for accuracy and coordinates revisions as necessary.
You will inform strategic discussions and Headquarters decisions related to workforce planning, projected attrition, and staffing levels.
You will conduct studies and analyzes trends in retention and turnover to identify systemic issues and barriers to effective staffing.
