Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) & Paraprofessional – Chatter Academy at Chatterbox Therapy Center (Addison, TX)
Are you passionate about making a positive impact in the lives of children with complex communication needs? Do you have the grit and adaptability to support children in both one-on-one and classroom settings? Chatter Academy, a specialized communication program within Chatterbox Therapy Center, is seeking a dedicated RBT who embodies our core values of grit, adaptability, positive impact, and compassion.
Position Overview :
We are looking for a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) to provide high-quality support for children with complex communication needs. Due to our individualized approach, the caseload is 1-2 children , allowing for focused, personalized intervention. In addition to RBT responsibilities, the candidate will serve as a paraprofessional within the academy, supporting learning and communication development throughout the school day.
Responsibilities :
- Implement behavior intervention plans under the supervision of a BCBA.
- Support communication development, including AAC (Augmentative and Alternative Communication) use.
- Assist in classroom activities, ensuring student engagement and success.
- Collect data and provide feedback on student progress.
- Collaborate with teachers, therapists, and families to ensure consistency in care.
- Adapt to evolving student needs with compassion and professionalism.
- Active RBT certification required.
- Experience working with children with autism and / or complex communication needs preferred.
- Ability to integrate compassion and grit into daily work.
- Strong adaptability in dynamic learning environments.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Small caseload for meaningful impact.
- Supportive team environment driven by core values.
