We are currently seeking a compassionate, professional Licensed Dietitian to join our Team! The ideal candidate will be responsible for delivering the best experience to all KidneySPA patients and their families. This position will be based out of our beautiful Coral Gables location.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
Duties will include but not be limited to :
o Initial nutrition assessment of new hemodialysis and home dialysis patients.
o Must reinforce education with the patient about food and fluid limits based on the type of dialysis treatment.
o Monthly review of labs and dietary recommendations made to attending and patient, based on laboratory information.
o Quality assurance related to renal nutritional status of patients.
o Serve on the Quality Assurance Committee to assist with interdisciplinary patient assessment to design and assist in implementation of quality patient outcomes related to nutrition, calcium and phosphorus management, and dialysis adequacy related to nutrition.
o Maintain records and documentation in compliance with all legal and regulatory requirements, and the policies and procedures of Kidney Spa, including but not limited to, initial patient assessment, three-month patient reassessment, unstable patient assessment, and annual patient assessment.
o Shall meet with patients at minimum on a monthly basis, with appropriate progress note documentation, to identify and address issues relative to chronic illness which are interfering with their diet, nutrition, and related clinical laboratory results to include monthly counseling of dietary changes as related to Calcium and phosphorus, fluid intake, weight loss / weight gain.
o Be a recourse person for patients and staff regarding patients renal nutrition consult on new patients, if requested, prior to dialysis initiation.
o Follow all laws, regulations, policies and procedure related to patient information confidentiality.
o Follow all laws, regulations, policies and procedures as related to infection control, blood-born pathogens and the use of Personal Protection equipment required within the clinic setting.
o Maintain all licenses, educational and training credits and other prerequisites necessary in the fulfillment of her certification and of her duties hereunder.
o Shall maintain appropriate patient care and other documentation in accordance with federal, state, and local laws, as well as the policies and procedures of Kidney Spa.
o Shall be available to participate and assist on-site in connection with any regulatory or other inspection relating to the dialysis program of Kidney Spa, including but not limited to, and inspections for the certification of said program.
o Shall be available to participate in any meetings, to include QAPI, required in connection with patient care, compliance, or the administration of the dialysis program at Kidney Spa.
o Shall meet with patient and patient's family to explain and assist with understanding their dietary and nutritional requirements in relation to their end stage renal disease.
o Shall identify issues during patient care conferences that may affect their dietary and nutritional goals.
o Shall promptly communicate patient issues to the interdisciplinary team, implement dietary changes, as needed.
o Shall assist with analysis of clinical laboratory results, and explain to the patient, as related to the patient’s dietary and nutritional requirements.
o Shall maintain the confidentiality and privacy of all patient records and information as required by Company policies and procedures, and applicable legal or regulatory requirements.
o Shall participate in the dialysis interdisciplinary team with patient care requirements per federal regulations and company policies.
o Be in-service and demonstrate a knowledge of emergency procedures related to clinic patient safety.
Requirements :
1. Be a registered dietitian with the Commission on Dietetic Registration
2. Must be certified and licensed in the state in which he / she is employed
3. A minimum of 1 year clinical experience in renal nutrition
4. Be a United States citizen or have documentation of legal work visa
