Minimum Years of Experience : 2 years exp in critical care Traveler Experience : Unit accepts 1st time travelers Locals Accepted / Rate Difference : Yes Skills : Adult Critical Care, Emergency Department; Airway Management Devices / Suctioning : Endotracheal tube / suctioning, Extubation, Intubation Assist, Nasal airway placement, Nasal airway suctioning, Oral airway placement, Oropharyngeal / suctioning, Pulmonary Hygiene, Sputum specimen collection, Tracheostomy / suctioning ; Care of the Patient With : ARDS, Aspiration, COVID, Pneumonia; Medication Administration : Albuterol, Atrovent; Medication Delivery Systems : Aerosol set up mask, Aerosol set up trach, Medihaler, Metered dose inhaler; Nebulizer : Cold, Hand held, Heated, T-piece, Trach collar; Oxygen therapy : Bag and mask, ET Tube, High Flow Nasal Cannula (HFNC), Portable Oxygen tank, T-piece, Trach collar; Pulmonary Function Experience : Respiratory Therapy Administration, Arterial punctures; Ventilator Management : BiPAP, CPAP, IMV (intermittent Mandatory Ventilation), SIMV (Synchronized Intermittent Mandatory Ventilation), Troubleshooting high pressure alarms, Weaning from mechanical ventilation; Neonatal / Pediatrics - Equipment / procedures : CPAP / Nasal CPAP / BIPAP, IMV / SIMV, Intubation Assist, Pressure / Volume Ventilator; Care of the Infant / Child With : Near drowning, Respiratory distress syndrome, Respiratory syncytial virus; Professional Knowledge and Skills : ABG interpretation, Basic EKG, Chest Physiotherapy, Drawing arterial blood gases Ratios : 1 : 2 ALL shifts Shift : 12 HR Nights (1845-0715) Weekend Requirement : Every other Contract staff will be assigned and expected to work a Storm Team and / or Hurricane Team. Contract staff may be required to report to work during a catastrophic event, mass casualty or disaster. Consolidation to the Centralized Office mid contract may occur and the contract staff may be preassigned to units as needed. Certifications : ACLS, BLS, PALS, RRT, State licensed Minimum Years of Experience : 2 years exp in critical care Shift : 12 HR Nights (1845-0715) Weekend Requirement : Every other Ratios : 1 : 2 ALL shifts Shift : 12 HR Nights (1845-0715) Weekend Requirement : Every other AHA or American Red Cross Only. AHA-RQI and AHA instructor cards are acceptable. CL – When qualifying, please access the Unit Description to review the required certifications.
