Position Summary :
Amkor announced in November 2023 its plans to build its first domestic OSAT (outsourced semiconductor assembly and test) facility in Peoria, Arizona.
The Director, State Government Affairs will be responsible for managing and overseeing the company's interactions with state and local government entities in Arizona. This role involves developing and implementing strategies to advance the company's public policy goals, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations, and maintaining strong relationships with government officials, agencies, and local communities. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of the semiconductor industry, government affairs, and public policy and will report to the Vice President, Legal Compliance and Regulatory Affairs.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities :
- Develop and implement state government relations and public policy strategies that align with the company's objectives.
- Monitor and analyze state legislation and regulations that impact the semiconductor industry and the company's operations.
- Represent the company before state government bodies, agencies, and officials.
- Build and maintain relationships with state government officials, industry associations, and advocacy groups.
- Advise the company's leadership on potential political risks and opportunities.
- Coordinate with internal teams to respond to government inquiries and audits.
- Ensure the company's compliance with all relevant state lobbying laws and regulations.
- Communicate the company's public policy positions to internal and external stakeholders.
- Collaborate with other stakeholders to align state and federal strategies.

Tempe, AZ. This position has a hybrid schedule. Candidates must reside near the local Amkor office or be willing to relocate to be considered.
