Your extensive knowledge of processes and ability to evaluate, innovate and handle numerous projects are vital to this role. You may be asked to prepare and deliver presentations and lead small, specialized teams to identify and resolve technical and project management issues!Your work will challenge you, and with our Core Values to guide you, you’ll quickly learn and grow with us.Day in the Life : As a Regulatory Compliance Engineer, you will be responsible for providing regulatory compliance support for operations, engineering and projects that occur in your defined support area. Some of those activities include : Coordinating with state and federal regulators to facilitate DOT PHMSA / State Agency inspectionsEngaging with projects to perform design reviews to ensure DOT 192 / 195 complianceCompletes regulatory DOT 192 / 195 Assurance through internal audits and acquisition integrationReviewing forms and procedures to ensure compliance with regulationsCoordinates accident notifications to National Response Center and completes PHMSA accident reportingResearches regulatory interpretations and identification of possible impacts to the organizationResearches DOT rule-making and state rule-making for incorporations into applicable proceduresResponsibilities / Expectations : Performs a wide spectrum of moderately difficult assignments, requiring technical evaluation, innovation, and judgement while maintaining customer satisfactionWorks independently on mid-sized projects / technical assignments supporting operationsMaintains a strong understanding of industry and operational requirementsDemonstrates in-depth knowledge of safety requirements, produces results and meets goalsExhibits proficiency in Company processes, policies, procedures, and guidelines established by organization and governing agenciesPrepares and delivers presentations to individualsInterprets internal / external customer needs, assesses requirements and identifies responsesWorks on a combination of engineering specialties covering more than one subject areaCollaborates with teams to ensure compliance, build improvement plans and meet training needsChampions processes, procedures and safety standardsOther duties as assignedEducation / Years of Experience : Required : Bachelor’s Degree in relevant Engineering field from an accredited college or university, OR Bachelor's Degree in Engineering Technology in a relevant field with Professional Engineer (P.E.) license; A minimum four (4) years of multifaceted engineering experience in the natural gas or petrochemical industryOther Requirements : Exhibits excellent organizational / interpersonal skills and deems safety an utmost priorityProficiency in Microsoft Office Application and PC skillsPreferred : FE CertificationPreferred : Project Management experienceAbout Tulsa : Our corporate headquarters is located in downtown Tulsa, Oklahoma, the 2nd largest city in Oklahoma and the 47th most populous in the U.S.Tulsa is known as the Mother of "The Mother Road" - Route 66, and boasts impressive art deco architecture, the #1 city park in the U.S. (The Gathering Place) and is a great venue for live music.
