Overview

Maimonides is currently seeking a Rehabilitation Aide to work under the supervision and guidance of a Physical Therapist, Occupational Therapist, Speech Therapist, or Physical Therapy Assistant, and work closely with and assist patients during their rehabilitation. Duties include transporting and instructing patients in performing simple rehabilitative tasks, preparing work areas.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive patient care : Deliver age-appropriate care, assist patients with ambulation (including gait techniques and proper use / selection of assistive devices), help with movement, and support therapists during treatments.
• Prepare and maintain treatment environments and equipment : Ensure treatment areas are clean, stocked, and properly set up, including linens. You'll also be responsible for cleaning mats daily, wheelchairs weekly, hot pack machines monthly.
• Manage patient logistics and administrative tasks : Prepare patients for treatment (assisting with dressing, undressing, positioning, draping, and bathroom needs). You'll also coordinate with nurses when transporting patients, handle patient transport to / from the gymnasium, check daily discharge schedules, work with Physical Therapists.
• Oversee supply management : Order and maintain linen supplies.

USD $25.61 - USD $26.18 / Hr.
