Starting pay $15.00 per hour, salary commensurate with education and experience.
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Rehabilitation Technician to support our healthcare tea. We aim to provide high-quality care to patients undergoing rehabilitation. As a Rehabilitation Technician, you will assist in the delivery of physical, occupational, and / or speech therapy services, ensuring that patients receive the necessary guidance and assistance during their rehabilitation process. This is a hands-on role, where you will directly interact with patients to facilitate their recovery, maintain equipment, and ensure a safe and supportive environment.
Requirements :
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES :
- Patient Assistance :
Assist patients during therapy sessions by helping them with exercises, mobility, and activities designed to improve strength, coordination, flexibility, and other physical abilities.
Collaborate with rehabilitation professionals such as physical, occupational, or speech therapists to implement treatment plans and interventions. Provide hands-on support as directed by licensed therapists.
Prepare therapy equipment, including mobility aids, exercise machines, and therapeutic tools, and ensure they are clean and in good working condition. Assist with setting up the therapy room and maintaining a tidy, organized space.
Educate patients and their families about rehabilitation exercises and techniques, under the guidance of licensed therapists. Answer questions and provide encouragement to patients to stay engaged in their recovery process.
Record patient progress, document therapy session outcomes, and report any concerns or changes in patient condition to the therapy team. Maintain accurate and confidential records in line with organizational policies and health regulations.
Follow safety protocols to ensure the well-being of patients, staff, and visitors. Adhere to all health and safety guidelines and standards set by the organization and regulatory bodies.
Assist with scheduling therapy sessions, maintaining patient files, and performing clerical tasks as needed.
QUALIFICATIONS :High school diploma or equivalent required. A certification or associate degree in a related field (e.g., physical therapy, occupational therapy, rehabilitation technology) is preferred.
Previous experience in a healthcare or rehabilitation setting is preferred but not required. On-the-job training will be provided.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills to interact with patients and team members.
